College Road Surgery

Hello and welcome to our website.  We’ve packed it full of useful information in a very easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, download a registration form and come and see us.

Stop Press - Medical Records system change

We have now changed our clinical software suppliers, and moved to a new supplier called SystmOne. This should future-proof the practice for any forthcoming changes, and, we believe, improve patient care. However, there may be some temporary disruption to services following the changeover period, and we would ask all our patients to try and be understanding and bear with us, in what will be a difficult process for all the surgery staff.

NEW: More GP appointments released - Improving Access to General Practice

College Road Surgery is continuing to work with NHS England on a Government initiative to increase access to General Practice.  This is with the intention to alleviate, as much as possible, pressures being experienced across the NHS.

In January and February we have been able to offer extra GP appointments.  This is because we know that there are times you want to be able to see a GP at short notice.

We, working with NHS England, continue to be part of this initiative offering extra appointments over the Easter period - 29th March, 3rd April and 4th April 2018.  The extra appointments are bookable on the day by ringing reception on the usual number or by booking on-line.

If you haven't yet signed up for GP On-line services simply contact the practice where we will be happy to help you further.  GP On-line services makes it easy to book appointments on-line, request prescriptions and view some of your medical records.  Find out more about this on:

If you are not able to attend an appointment you have booked, for whatever reason, please let us know.  We can then offer that appointment to someone else that needs it.

Access all Areas

Existing patients can enjoy access to our wide range of services at the touch of a button. Whether managing your appointment, ordering a repeat prescription or accessing your medical records on-line you can now do all three without leaving your home.  To register for this service see below.

Your Health in Safe Hands

The team are here to provide all patients with a professional and caring healthcare experience in friendly and personal surroundings. With discretion and confidentiality guaranteed your welfare is safe, secure and in good hands.

Named/Accountable Doctor Scheme

From April 1st 2015, all practices are required to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients. Therefore, all patients at College Road Surgery have a named, accountable GP, who is responsible for their overall care at the practice. Your named GP has been allocated by the practice. If you wish to know who your allocated GP is please ask at reception. New patients will be given their named accountable GP at the point of registration by the receptionist.

PLEASE NOTE: You can still talk to, or make appointments to see any of our doctors or nurses, not just your named GP, and please be assured that this will not impact your experience at College Road Surgery in any way.
