Patient Participation Group

College Road Surgery has an active Patient Participation Group (PPG) that meets regularly at the surgery.

The PPG is intended to be a forum to provide a liaison between the practice and its’ patients, fostering good relations to the benefit of all parties involved. The College Road PPG has its own Constitution and is managed by a ‘Core Group’ (comprised of patients, doctors, practice staff and the practice manager).

The College Road PPG is not a forum for raising complaints, for individual moans or representatives who wish to pursue their own agendas or special interests. We have a dynamic patient members group supported by a practice team including GPs, staff and senior management. We strive for open, honest and constructive communications where all views are listened to and considered valid within a supportive forum.

We operate by a set of principles, which are laid out in the PPG Ground Rules.

The Practice is looking for people from all ages and backgrounds who are enthusiastic about influencing and improving the way that local healthcare is delivered.

If you are interested please ask reception for a leaflet or download the PPG leaflet online. The practice is always actively seeking to recruit new members to ensure we are representational of our patient population. If you think you may be interested please do not hesitate to give Roy Sellarajah (practice manager) a call or simply complete the PPG registration and someone will be in contact with you.

Virtual Patient Participation Group (vPPG)

Do you want to engage with the PPG but don’t have the time to attend regular meetings?

Then join the College Road Surgery – ‘Virtual Patient Participation Group’.

What is the virtual Patient Participation Group?

The VPPG is a group which runs alongside our normal PPG group and has been set up in response to patients that have said they would like to be involved in a patient group but are unable to attend meetings. This is again an important forum and will help the practice gauge patient opinions, consensus and thoughts.

As a member of the virtual Patient Participation Group we will send you carefully selected emails asking for your opinion, comments and feedback on a whole range of important topics.

You decide how often and when you would like to answer. For more information on the VPPG, please contact the practice.

Join our Patient Participation Group

All registered patients are able to join our Patient Participation Group. People of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join.

Members should as far as possible, be representative of the surgery population.
